Nokia has launched N-Series with N85 and N79 Phones
Nokia announced a pair of smartphones that it said balance a mobile professional’s business needs with robust multimedia functionality.
Today, missing our expectations by a small margin, Nokia has officially taken the wraps off their new pair of handsets - the Nokia N79 and Nokia N85. As the successor to the Nokia N81, the dual-sliding Nokia N85 offers a newly uprated 5 megapixel camera, fitted with the dual-LED flash and the Carl Zeiss optics that Nokia loves to use on their higher-megapixel cameraphones. Additional to that some GPS, 3G (HSDPA), WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 2.6-inch AMOLED display, and microSDHC card slot, and you’ve got the makings of a serious handset. The Nokia N85 runs on S60 3rd Edition and is fully N-Gage compatible.
The N85 is a slider phone with a 2.6in OLED screen and a five megapixel video/still shot camera. An 8GB MicroSD card is included and for leisure use comes with 10 made for mobile games.
Support for popular video download services, including those using Windows Media format, means that Nokia N96 owners can easily explore, purchase and download their favorite movies, television shows and other video content on their PCs and sideload them to their devices to watch at their convenience. The internal 16 gigabytes of memory, and expandable memory card slot, allows up to 40 hours of video content* to be stored on the Nokia N96. Additionally, the built in “kick stand” allows the Nokia N96 to be supported handsfree at an optimal viewing angle to ensure enjoyment of their favorite video content.
The N79 handset will have similar features to the N85, but the company hopes to draw style-conscious customers with it. The handset has a candy bar form factor and is compatible with the company’s swappable Xpress cover plates in multiple colors and styles.
